Two touch screen displays have been installed in the public area of Linate airport. In idle mode, the displays show a video explaining how SEA, the airport operator, adopts sustainability measures in their strategy and operations. Passengers can find general information about water issues and water consumption, play a quiz and test their knowledge on water consumption, calculate their water and CO2 footprint and view real-time data from one of the water sensors installed at the airport. With over nine million passengers travelling from and to Linate airport each year, Waternomics aims to reach a large audience and increase awareness of the value of water amongst a broad audience.
