The Web of Things is a new paradigm introduced to realize the Internet of Things through the use of Web technologies such as HTTP, URIs, RDF, JSON-LD, etc. The W3C, the organization directing the Web standardization efforts, started an Interest Group on the Web of Things (WoT)http://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/.
Insight Centre at the National University of Ireland Galway, a partner in Waternomics, is an active member in Web standardization effort including the Web of Things. Water management can benefit from such technologies to automate water data management and gain insights on water saving.
